Terror Professor

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

It was the first day of class one time I had experienced. I’m so excited because I will finally meet my friends and block mates after two months. All of our professors were introduced to us and they are all very nice, except for our math professor. I really don’t like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, or anything that has something to do with math. The sight of numbers creep me out and to top it all, our math professors gives us lots of Math homework, and take note, it is the first day of class. Nothing can be worse than that. My day was almost perfect, almost but not quite. Good thing my friends and classmates are very willing to give me a Free math homework help I was exhausted after finishing lots of math problems.

After that, it is already dark. I’m on my way home when I saw a poster about Free math tutoring and some advertisement, but my eyes are too tired to pay much attention so I just decided to go straight home.

The Importance of Education

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Mark at the early age of five his mother wants to send Mark in school. But this poor Mark is very playful he treats everything as toy or a game. Her mother sent Mark in school at first Mark enjoys going to school, he plays with his classmates. He finished the kindergarten. When he formally enters the formal class he already refuses going to school. His mother was always having a hard time to please Mark to go to school. Until high school he only goes to school because his mother cries.

And until now Mark still understands the importance of education in his life. His mother cries like that because she was only thinking for the future of her child and yet Mark didn’t yet saw the point of view of his mother. For me education is the greatest gift a parent can give to his or her child because once this education achieved by a child no one can stole it from her or him.

In So Many Words

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

A dictionary is a useful tool. This handy reference book contains lists of words and information about the words. When you read, you will see unfamiliar words. When you read, you will see unfamiliar words. A dictionary will help you understand the meaning of these words. When you write, you may be unsure about the spelling or usage of some words. A dictionary helps then too.

Not all dictionaries are the same. Some are written for people of certain age groups. Some special dictionaries cover only one major subject. Even general dictionaries are not the same. Some are unabridged, or complete. Many are abridged, or shortened. Each dictionary has its own terms, symbols, abbreviations, and organization. It is important, then, to become familiar with the dictionary you use. All dictionaries have one thing in common, however. Words are always arranged in alphabetical order, which allows you to fid a word quickly.

In a Sense

Monday, October 12th, 2009

To write a description, use your five senses. Use sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell to provide the details of your description. Such details are called sensory details. Choose specific words to show how each sense is affected. The more you appeal to the senses of your readers, the more your readers will be able to share your experienced.

In a description don’t just tell your readers what you experienced, show them. For example, instead of telling that a fire was noisy, show how the fire crackled and roared. Use specific sensory words that show your reader your subject. Use sensory words that appeal to each of the senses. For sight, use words that show color, movement, and shape. For sound, use specific words. For touch, use words that show temperature and texture. For taste, use words such sweet and sour. For smell, use words such as fishy and burnt. Try to use as many sensory words as you can to describe your subject vividly.
